Context
Sabah Ports implemented a new TOS across three terminals, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Tawau. RTG and RS operations required redesigned processes to build a solid operational foundation for the new system.
CHALLENGE
- Guiding operators, planners and management through a new way of working.
- Ensuring configuration accuracy and consistent communication across three geographically dispersed ports.
- Managing go live issue tracking and fast solution delivery to secure stable operations.
OUR ROLE
We delivered super user training, supported system testing and led full go live management, with the TOS delivered by TBA. This included operational and organisational assessments, targeted training, go live preparation and on site operational support.
RESULTS
- Predictability Clear configuration governance and structured test cycles enabled a reliable rollout across all terminals.
- Continuity of operations All three ports continued operating during transition with minimal disruption.
- Acceptance across teams Teams adapted quickly through role based training and floor level guidance during go live.
- Stability after go live Consistent performance was achieved shortly after go live, supported by rapid issue resolution and fine tuning.
